Hermine's focal point is a vintage cut steel shoe clip. Unstamped, I don't know it's country of origin, but most of this style was made in France a century ago. The detail is beautiful.
I kept the backing on this version, adding to the vintage appeal. The tan leather cuff gives it a more Western vibe.

Vintage cut steel shoe clips have a fascinating history that dates back to the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Originally popular in the Regency and Victorian eras, these clips were used to add decorative flair to shoes, often featuring intricate designs made from small, polished steel pieces.
In the 19th century, as shoe styles became more elaborate, cut steel became a fashionable alternative to precious metals. Artisans would handcraft these clips, creating stunning patterns that sparkled like gemstones. They were often paired with evening wear, helping to elevate an outfit.
