Mädel, for all your Mädels

Hey there! I’m Mindy, and I am the dreamer, creator and owner behind Mädel. I have been crafting jewelry for over 25 years. It all started with the first jewelry class I took in San Francisco after moving from the Midwest and slowly evolved into Mädel.

You'll find a variety of designs in my work. I enjoy combining contrasting textures & hardware as well as vintage & modern accents to create truly unique pieces. I even source some of my supplies from salvage stores. One way to describe my jewelry is "modern heirloom." There is some history in all the pieces combined with a more current twist. You'll also discover quite a few statement pieces. I love the idea of putting on a piece of jewelry that takes your outfit and attitude to a whole new, beautiful level.

What is "Mädel"? Mädel (pronounced with a long ā) is the Bavarian word for girl. It is also often used by women to refer to their female friends - "my girls” would be "meine Mädels." A "girls night out" would be a "Mädelsabend."

Mädel brings together many of the things that make my heart sing - my German heritage, femininity, passions and creativity. Have a look around. I hope you find something that brings you as much joy as it did for me in making it.
